The distance from Kihihi airstrip to Buhoma headquarters is approximately 45.2 kilometers by road. Therefore, the scenic drive through rolling hills and beautiful villages takes around an hour and 24 minutes. From Kisoro airstrip, the distance to reach Ruhija, Rushaga and Nkuringo are 74.9 kilometers, 37.1 kilometers and 44.8 kilometers respectively. Duration on the road respectively is 2 hours 23 minutes, 1 hour 21 minutes and 1 hour 42 minutes. The accessible connections from Kihihi/Kisoro make reaching any of the gorilla sectors easier and comfortable.

Flying time

The aircraft will be in the air for 1 hour and 15 minutes during the journey from Entebbe to either Kisoro or Kihihi. This is when the scheduled departure is at 7:00 a.m. and expected arrival time at 8:15 a.m. AeroLink Uganda also offers midmorning scheduled flights to either Kisoro or Kihihi airstrips. Each of these flights takes 1 hour and 15 minutes. The scheduled departure is 10:45 a.m. and arrival time is 11:15 a.m. However, flying time may vary due to aircraft routing. Since flights by AeroLink are scheduled, your flight ticket should be booked in advance, at least 14 days before the travel date.
