Ol Pejeta Conservancy is a private wildlife conservancy set between the foothills of the Aberdares and the snow-capped peak of Mount Kenya. It boasts one of the highest wildlife densities in Kenya and an incredible variety of animals, including the Big Five.
Wildlife
Ol Pejeta is the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa and home to the last two northern white rhinos on Earth. It also shelters lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, cheetah and, at its chimpanzee sanctuary, rescued chimpanzees – the only place to see them in Kenya.
Activities
Beyond day and night game drives, Ol Pejeta offers guided bush walks, camel rides, lion tracking, visits to the rhino and chimpanzee sanctuaries and rewarding community and conservation experiences.
Best time to visit
Ol Pejeta is rewarding year-round, with the dry seasons (June to October and January to February) offering the easiest game viewing.
