Day-by-Day Itinerary

4: Samburu sojourn | 3 nights
On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, transfer to Wilson Airport for the short flight to Samburu. Spend three nights in a spacious, eco-chic family villa at Saruni Samburu, with sweeping views of the Kalama Community Wildlife Conservancy and distant Mount Kenya – more than 800 km² of pristine wilderness that serves as a vital elephant migration corridor, and yours alone to explore.Take day game drives through the conservancy and Samburu National Reserve in search of the Samburu Special 5 – reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra, beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, and gerenuk – plus night drives in the conservancy, guided forest walks with Samburu warriors, village visits, ancient rock art, family bushcraft lessons at the Warriors Academy, and a trek up sacred Mount Ololokwe. Unwind afterwards in one of two infinity pools or at the Samburu Wellbeing Space.

7: Migrate to the Mara | 3 nights
A short flight brings you to Saruni Mara, the Masai Mara's only boutique lodge, tucked into a quiet valley of the exclusive Mara North Conservancy beside the famous national reserve. Maasai warrior guides share their deep knowledge of the land across game drives, night drives, guided bush walks, birdwatching, animal-tracking lessons at the Warriors Academy, hikes up Kilelioni, cultural visits to the local Maasai market, and optional dawn hot air balloon flights.Families settle beautifully into the two-bedroom Natural History Suite. On your final morning, visit the rhino sanctuary and watch hippos and crocodiles in the Mara River en route to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi.
