Day-by-Day Itinerary
Travel to Lake Mburo – Nature Walk & Hike
Scenic drive through rolling countryside to Lake Mburo National Park in western Uganda. On arrival, set out on a guided nature walk and hike through the woodlands, sighting forest birds and mammals, with a hilltop viewpoint overlooking nine of the region’s fourteen lakes.
Game Drive & Boat Cruise on Lake Mburo
Early morning game drive along the park’s tracks for zebras, elands, waterbucks, buffaloes, leopards, hyenas and topis. In the afternoon, enjoy a 2-hour boat cruise spotting crocodiles, hippos and water birds, with optional spot fishing.
Birding Excursion & Return to Kampala
A morning birding excursion at the park’s renowned spots – the Warukiri and Miriti swampy valleys, the salt-lick platforms and Rubanga forest – before the return drive to Kampala, marking the end of your safari.
