This 2 Days Akagera Wildlife Safari is a short but rewarding Big Five escape to Rwanda’s only savanna park. Enjoy an evening and morning game drive across Akagera’s rolling plains, lakes and papyrus swamps in search of lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo, giraffes and hippos – a superb wildlife complement to Rwanda’s famous gorilla trekking.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Transfer to Akagera & Evening Game Drive
Drive east to Akagera National Park, entering for an evening game drive across the savanna in search of elephants, zebras, antelopes and, with luck, lions, before checking in for overnight.
Morning Game Drive & Return to Kigali
An early morning game drive around Akagera’s lakes for buffalo, giraffe, hippos and abundant birdlife, then transfer back to Kigali, ending the safari.
