Overview
This 1 Day Nyungwe Canopy Walk Adventure offers a once-in-a-lifetime experience in East Africa’s only canopy walkway, suspended 70 metres above the forest floor. Drive through Rwanda’s scenic tea plantations to Nyungwe Forest National Park – one of Africa’s oldest rainforests – for a thrilling walk high above the trees, with chances to spot colobus monkeys and some of the park’s 300 bird species.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park
After breakfast, you are picked up from your hotel and driven through the winding roads and vast tea farms of the Land of a Thousand Hills, with your guide sharing the park’s history and trails en route.
The Nyungwe Canopy Walk
Enjoy the highlight of the day – the canopy walkway, 70 metres above ground and 90 metres long, suspended over a steep forested valley. Watch for colobus monkeys, ancient tree species and forest birds among the highest reaches of the canopy.
Return to Kigali
After the canopy adventure, relax at the reception before the scenic drive back to Kigali, with an optional stop to explore Nyanza’s royal history or the Ethnographic Museum in Huye.
