Scenic drive to southwestern Uganda with a stop at the Equator, arriving at Bwindi in the evening to check in and overnight.
After a briefing at the park headquarters, trek into the forest (2–8 hours) to spend a magical hour with a habituated mountain gorilla family, then return for your trekking certificate.
Spend the day on the cultural Batwa Trail with the forest’s original pygmy inhabitants, learning traditional skills, followed by a local community visit.
