After breakfast, the journey heads west toward the scenic town of Fort Portal, located beneath the legendary Rwenzori Mountains, also known as the Mountains of the Moon. The drive offers beautiful views of rolling hills, tea plantations, and rural Ugandan landscapes.

After lunch en route, continue to Kibale Forest National Park, one of Africa’s most important primate habitats. In the evening, embark on an exciting guided night forest walk to search for nocturnal wildlife including bush babies, pottos, and other fascinating forest creatures.

Today is dedicated to exploring the primate-rich forests of Kibale. In the morning, head into the rainforest for an unforgettable chimpanzee trekking experience. Kibale Forest boasts the highest concentration of primates in East Africa, making it one of the best places in the world to observe wild chimpanzees.

As you trek through the forest with experienced guides, you may encounter red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabeys, and numerous bird species.

In the afternoon, visit Bigodi Village, where a community-guided walk introduces you to local culture and traditions. You will visit homesteads, a primary school, a church, and learn about traditional farming practices while listening to stories from village elders.

The day begins with an early morning game drive across the savannah plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park. This area is home to lions, elephants, buffaloes, and the graceful Uganda kob.

This cruise offers one of the best wildlife viewing opportunities in Africa, with large concentrations of hippos, elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles, and abundant birdlife along the shores.

After breakfast, travel toward Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas.

If road conditions allow, the route passes through the Ishasha sector, famous for its rare tree-climbing lions. After a short game drive in search of these remarkable predators, continue toward Bwindi through scenic countryside dotted with traditional villages and terraced hillsides.

This is the highlight of the entire safari. After an early briefing by park rangers, venture into the dense forest of Bwindi in search of endangered mountain gorillas.

The trek can take several hours through steep and sometimes muddy terrain, but the reward is extraordinary. Spending an hour observing a gorilla family as they feed, groom, and play in their natural habitat is an unforgettable wildlife encounter.

After breakfast, depart Bwindi and begin the return journey to Entebbe. The drive passes through Lake Mburo National Park, where you may see zebras, impalas, and other wildlife along the roadside.

A stop at the Uganda Equator offers a perfect photo opportunity before continuing to Entebbe.
