Detailed Itinerary

Arrive in Kigali via your scheduled flight. Transfer to Chez Lando Hotel and settle in for the night.

After breakfast, explore Kigali with a visit to the Genocide Memorial, then drive through Rwanda’s scenic hills to Huyé. Overnight at Hotel Mater Boni Consilii, Butare.
Driving: ~3.5 hrs, 140 km

Drive to Nyungwe Forest, hike the famous canopy walk 60 meters above the rainforest floor. Spot chimpanzees, colobus monkeys, and birds. Overnight in tents on a raised wooden platform.
Walking: ~2 hrs, Driving: ~3 hrs, 110 km

Hike the Imbaraga Trail (10 km, 6 hrs) with four waterfalls and abundant wildlife. Picnic lunch en route. Afternoon transfer to Kibuyé for overnight at Rwiza Village.
Driving: 2.5 hrs, 110 km

Take a traditional boat to Napoleon Island on Lake Kivu. Trek through banana, pineapple, and coffee plantations. Relax at Rushel Lodge, Kinunu.
Hiking: 2–3 hrs, Driving: 1 hr, 15 km

Continue the trail, observing local fishermen and birdlife (370 species). Drive along the Virunga Volcanoes to Musanze. Overnight at Hotel La Palme.
Hiking: 4–5 hrs, Driving: 1.5 hrs, 70 km

Morning game drive in Ishasha Sector to see tree-climbing lions, hippos, and elephants. Afternoon boat safari on Kazinga Channel. Overnight at Park View Safari Lodge.

Chimpanzee tracking in Kalinzu Forest, then wildlife tracking in Lake Mburo NP, including zebras, impalas, and giraffes. Overnight at Eagles Nest Safari Camp.
Hiking: ~4 hrs, Driving: 5 hrs, 220 km

Morning game drive, then transfer across the Equator to Entebbe. Overnight at Sunset Hotel Entebbe.
Driving: 5 hrs, 220 km

Early morning airport transfer and return flight home.
