Detailed Day-by-Day Itinerary
Follow the journey through each exciting day of your adventure
Day 1: Transfer from Entebbe to Bwindi impenetrable national park.
Early in the morning, the driver will transfer you from Entebbe to Bwindi national park. The distance from Entebbe to the park is approximately 550 kilometers depending on the road conditions. You will have a stopover at the equator or Ntungamo and have lunch before continuing to Bwindi. Upon arrival, you will check in to your hotel, have dinner and an overnight stay.Day 2: Gorilla trekking and Batwa community tour.
Early in the morning after breakfast, the driver will take you to the park headquarters to attend a briefing session before trekking. You will then be divided into groups of eight and an experienced guide will take you through thickets of the forest searching for gorillas. Trekking takes about 2 to 3 hours depending on where these primates will be found, once you encounter your assigned gorilla family, you are given one hour to be in their presence as you learn about their ways of life and feeding habits. You are free to take a few snaps of these incredible primates to keep for memories. After trekking, you will then head back to the starting point to receive a certificate of participation. Have lunch and some refreshments before you take on the Batwa Community tour. The Batwa community tour involves visiting the Batwa pygmies, an indigenous people in the great lakes region of Africa. These tours aim to provide insight into their traditional life style, culture and challenges they face. You will experience and participate in their traditional dances and learn about their hunting and gathering techniques where you are able to gain a deeper understanding of their history. After the community tour, the driver will take you back to your hotel, relax, have dinner and an overnight stay.Day 3: Travel back to Entebbe. End of tour.
This marks the last day of your trip. After an early morning breakfast, you will be transferred back to Entebbe with a few stop overs at the equator for lunch, refreshments and souvenir shopping.What's Included
