Detailed Itinerary

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your safari guide and transferred to Kampala. After checking in at your hotel, relax and recover from your flight as you prepare for the adventure ahead.

Overnight: Express View Inn

Depart Kampala in the morning and travel north toward Murchison Falls National Park. En route, stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where you will enjoy a guided rhino trek on foot, learning about conservation efforts to reintroduce rhinos into Uganda.

Continue the journey with lunch along the way before arriving at Murchison Falls for a visit to the Top of the Falls, where the Nile forces itself through a narrow gorge in a powerful and dramatic display. Later, proceed to your lodge near the park.

Overnight: Tangi Safari Lodge

Begin the day with an early morning game drive, offering chances to spot lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and many of the park’s 76 mammal species. Continue toward the Nile Delta area, rich in birdlife and wildlife.

After lunch, enjoy a three-hour boat cruise on the River Nile to the base of the falls. Along the banks, observe large pods of hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, and a wide variety of bird species — a highlight for wildlife lovers and birders alike.

Overnight: Tangi Safari Lodge

After breakfast overlooking the Nile, travel southwest toward Kibale Forest National Park. The long but scenic drive passes rural villages, tea plantations, and rolling countryside.

Arrive in the afternoon and check in at your lodge bordering the forest. As night falls, enjoy the sounds of nocturnal wildlife, creating an authentic rainforest atmosphere.

Continue south toward Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, arriving in the evening.

Overnight: Buhoma Community Camp

Today marks one of the greatest highlights of the safari — mountain gorilla trekking. After a briefing, trek into Bwindi’s dense forest with experienced guides to locate a gorilla family. Spend a magical hour observing them in their natural environment.

After the trek, transfer to the tranquil Lake Bunyonyi, surrounded by terraced hills and islands.

Overnight: Bunyonyi Eco Resort

Cross the border into Rwanda, the second country on your safari. Enjoy a scenic drive through Rwanda’s rolling hills to Ruhengeri (Musanze), near Volcanoes National Park.
