Booking Terms & Regulations – Inmotion Gorilla Safaris
Booking Terms & Regulations – Inmotion Gorilla Safaris
Inmotion Gorilla Safaris organizes gorilla trekking and wildlife trips across Uganda, Rwanda, D.R. Congo, Tanzania, and Kenya. Before confirming any safari with us, please read these booking terms and conditions carefully. They outline our respective obligations and form the basis of our contract with you.
1. Definitions
“You” refers to all persons named on the booking, including anyone added or substituted later.
“We” / “Us” refers to Inmotion Gorilla Safaris.
These terms may be revised from time to time due to changing circumstances. Please note that service standards, medical facilities, safety, and security in Africa may differ from those in your home country. All services are subject to the laws and regulations of the host country.
2. Booking Confirmations
A booking is confirmed once we receive your deposit and issue a written confirmation.
Full payment is required for bookings made within four weeks of the safari start date.
3. Payments
A 50% deposit of the total safari cost, including gorilla permits, is required to secure your booking.
The remaining balance must be paid before the safari commences.
Prices are quoted in USD unless stated otherwise.
4. Gorilla Permits
Gorilla permits are purchased immediately after deposit payment.
Possession of a permit does not guarantee gorilla sightings, but chances are approximately 99%.
Access may occasionally be restricted due to park closures, gorilla movements, or security concerns.
Refunds for permits are at the discretion of the relevant authority.
5. Cancellation by Clients
To cancel a safari, you must inform us in writing. Cancellation fees are charged per person to cover estimated losses and the inability to resell the holiday:
| Days before safari | Cancellation fee (%) |
|---|---|
| 101+ | 20% |
| 61–100 | 30% |
| 46–60 | 50% |
| 16–45 | 80% |
| 0–15 | 100% |
Important Notes:
Gorilla permits and air tickets are 100% non-refundable.
No refunds for unused services, late arrivals, no-shows, or once the safari has started.
For shared-cost bookings, if one traveler cancels, single supplement costs may apply.
6. Cancellation by the Company
While rare, we reserve the right to cancel confirmed bookings due to unforeseen events beyond our control (e.g., extreme weather, security threats, pandemics, civil unrest).
If we cancel:
You may choose an alternative safari of similar standard if available.
Refunds or additional payments will be adjusted according to the cost difference.
No compensation is offered beyond this, except in cases of payment failure or other exceptions stated above.
