Therefore, it is not possible to do both the Golden Monkey Trek and the Gorilla Trek on the same day. Visitors wishing to trek with the golden monkeys in Volcanoes National Park can purchase a trekking permit for $100. Volcanoes National Park is located in the Ruhengeri district of Rwanda’s eastern province. The national park is 113 kilometers from Kigali City, roughly a 2-hour drive from the capital city.
