On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, a private six-seater 4x4 whisks you to the House of Waine, an 11-bedroom boutique hotel in Nairobi’s leafy Karen suburb. Take high tea on the lawns, swim in the heated pool, or visit the Giraffe Centre, the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, or the Karen Blixen Museum before tomorrow’s departure for the Mara.

5: Family safari in the Masai Mara | 3 nights
Fly to the Masai Mara, where a guide from Mara Bush House — your exclusive safari home for three nights — welcomes you. Your personal chef and guide tailor activities and meals entirely to your family’s interests: kids learn about tracking, spoor, beetles, bugs, and birds from expert guides, and might be found baking in the kitchen between adventures.
