Day-by-Day Itinerary

2: Jet into Nairobi | 1 night
After a warm welcome at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you are driven to the magnificent Hemingways Nairobi in the leafy Karen neighbourhood, where a personal butler sees to every detail. If time permits, visit the Karen Blixen Museum, the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, or the Giraffe Centre with its endangered Rothschild’s giraffes — or squeeze in a first game drive through Nairobi National Park, where plains game roams against a backdrop of skyscrapers.

4: Wing your way to Amboseli | 2 nights
After breakfast, transfer to Wilson Airport for the short flight to Amboseli National Park, home to some of the best views of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro. Arrive at Tortilis Camp — fully solar-powered — for an Italian-inspired lunch, then head out on an afternoon game drive through the park’s 30,000-acre private reserve. The next morning brings breakfast on a game drive, and the afternoon an action-packed walking safari with an armed ranger, capped by sundowners in a picturesque spot.

6: Touchdown in Meru | 2 nights
After a final morning game drive and breakfast, fly to Meru National Park, arriving in time for lunch at Elsa’s Kopje — named after Elsa the lioness of Born Free fame and built organically into Mughwango Hill. The reserve shelters around 1,000 elephants, a sizeable rhino sanctuary, and some 600 bird species. Choose between a soothing massage or afternoon game drives, with bush breakfasts and sundowners setting the daily rhythm.

7: Landing in the Masai Mara | 2 nights
An early nature walk and breakfast precede your flight from Meru to Keekorok Airstrip in the Mara. Settle into Sand River Masai Mara, a riverside camp inspired by the classic safaris of the 1920s. The next day is a full-day game drive — lions, elephants, and whatever else you and your guide set out to find — with a picnic lunch in the bush and a visit to a traditional Maasai manyatta, before a sundowner and dinner beneath the Milky Way.

Back to Nairobi
Enjoy a final breakfast at Sand River, an optional last game drive, and the short flight back to Wilson Airport. A farewell meal in Nairobi precedes check-in at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your journey home.
