Hiking starts through the bamboo, high elephant grass and dense bushes. Climbing Rocks and buffs, crossing river Mahoma then finally to Nyabitaba. Animals such as white colobus, blue monkeys, three horned chameleon and the Rwenzori turaco are spotted. The journey takes 4-5 hours.
Through the forest about a half an hour to the Kurt Shafer bridge, the conference of Mubuku and Bujuku rivers. Then through the bamboo forest, slippery moss-covered rocks for a couple of hours. Nyamuleju rock shelter and a view of Mount Stanley and mount Speke then finally to John maate hut. Views of Mount Stanley and Magherita are made.
Here the same features will be viewed on the swayback to Nyabitaba camp. However, after taking lunch, the guide will guide taking a route to Mahoma Lake for a view. Lake with glacial features with very cold waters having passed through the bamboo zoon. Then proceed to Nyabitaba camp for an overnight.
Have breakfast and proceed down the Panga ridge and exit the mountain in mid-afternoon for an overnight stay at the base or onward transfer.
