Day-by-Day Itinerary
2: Arrival in Tanzania (Moshi)
Arrive and transfer to Moshi for briefing and preparation.
Momella Gate to Miriakamba Hut
Begin the Mount Meru climb, ascending through forest to Miriakamba Hut.
Miriakamba to Saddle Hut
Climb to Saddle Hut with an acclimatisation walk to Little Meru.
Mount Meru Summit & Descent to Miriakamba
Summit Mount Meru (4,566m) at sunrise, then descend to Miriakamba Hut.
Momella Gate to Moshi
Descend to Momella Gate and transfer back to Moshi.
Free Day in Moshi
A rest and recovery day before the Kilimanjaro climb.
Lemosho Glades to Big Tree Camp
Begin the Kilimanjaro Northern Circuit via the Lemosho route.
Shira Camp I
Ascend onto the Shira Plateau.
Moir Hut
Trek to Moir Hut with acclimatisation gains.
Northern Circuit to Pofu Camp
Follow the quiet Northern Circuit to Pofu Camp.
Third Cave
Continue to Third Cave camp.
School Hut
Ascend to School Hut, the summit base.
Summit Day – Uhuru Peak to Mweka Camp
Summit via Gilman’s Point to Uhuru Peak (5,895m) at sunrise, then descend to Mweka Camp.
Mweka Gate to Moshi
Final descent to Mweka Gate and transfer to Moshi.
Journey Home
Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for departure.
