Overview
The 12 Day Classic Uganda Rwanda Primate Tour is a rich primate and adventure journey - chimpanzee habituation in Kibale, tree-climbing lions and game drives in Queen Elizabeth, gorilla trekking in both Bwindi (Uganda) and Volcanoes (Rwanda), a canoe excursion on Lake Mutanda, and volcano climbs on Sabinyo and Bisoke.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Arrival in Uganda
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, met and transferred to a guesthouse in Entebbe for a briefing and dinner. Overnight.
Entebbe to Kibale National Park
Drive west to Fort Portal, base for Kibale Forest, with an afternoon walk along the scenic crater lakes. Dinner and overnight.
Chimpanzee Trekking (Kanyanchu)
Full-day chimpanzee habituation experience, following the chimps from nest to nest and spotting other primates such as red colobus and mangabey. Dinner and overnight.
Kibale to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park through beautiful scenery. Dinner and overnight.
Kasenyi & Ishasha Game Drives
Morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains, then transfer to the Ishasha sector famous for tree-climbing lions. Dinner and overnight.
Ishasha to Nkuringo, Bwindi
Continue to the Nkuringo sector of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Dinner and overnight.
Walking Safari & Canoe to Kisoro
A walking safari and traditional canoe excursion on Lake Mutanda en route to Kisoro. Dinner and overnight.
Mount Sabinyo Climb
Climb the three peaks of Mount Sabinyo (3,669m) in Mgahinga, straddling Uganda, Rwanda and DR Congo. Dinner and overnight.
Transfer to Rwanda
Cross into Rwanda and transfer to Volcanoes National Park. Dinner and overnight.
Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes
Trek the Virunga slopes for a magical hour with a habituated mountain gorilla family. Dinner and overnight.
Mount Bisoke Hike
Hike scenic Mount Bisoke with its beautiful crater lake at the summit. Dinner and overnight.
Kigali Memorial & Departure
Visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial before transferring to the airport for your departure flight.
