Day-by-Day Itinerary
Morning: Faith & History
After breakfast and a briefing, visit the Namugongo Martyrs’ Shrine, then the Baha’i Temple on Kikaaya Hill – the mother temple of the Baha’i faith in Africa – followed by the Uganda Museum showcasing the country’s 50-plus tribes, and Makerere University with its art gallery.
Afternoon: Culture, Religion & Markets
After lunch at Makerere, tour the Kasubi Tombs, Bulange and Kabaka’s Lake in the Buganda Kingdom, then visit Kibuli Mosque and Rubaga Catholic Cathedral. Finish with the lively Owino and Nakasero markets and craft shopping before returning to your residence. Meal Plan: Lunch.
