The 1 Day Entebbe Zoo Tour takes you to the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre (UWEC), formerly the Entebbe Zoo, a conservation centre established in 1952 to rescue, rehabilitate and breed wildlife. Home to around 400 indigenous animals, 250 bird species and 500 plant species u2013 including lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, rhinos, giraffes and the rare shoebill stork u2013 it offers a superb family day out with an optional Behind the Scenes keeper experience.
Early pick-up from your residence in Entebbe or Kampala and transfer to the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre. Enjoy guided wildlife viewing among lions, elephants, cheetahs, rhinos, camels, chimpanzees, the rare shoebill and many primates and birds.
Join UWEC keepers to prepare animal food and ride the tractor between exhibits to help feed exotic and endangered animals. Take part in keeper briefings, observe daily health checks and learn how rescued animals fit into Ugandau2019s ecosystem, before relaxing at the Entebbe zoo beach and being dropped at your residence or the airport.
